An extensive extended voyage through Australia has been cancelled days after the death of an elderly lady who was stranded by the vessel on a distant island.

The elderly woman had been walking on the tropical location with other travelers from the vessel, but separated from the excursion for a pause. The liner sailed away leaving her and returned after some time after the ship staff realised the woman was missing.

A large-scale search operation located her person the next day.

Authorities are investigating the incident, in coordination with police and the official investigator.

Chief Executive of the voyage organizer announced that passengers and crew on the ship were notified that the continuation of the voyage had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and prior engine troubles".

Via official communication, he further stated that guests would be provided a complete reimbursement, and said the organization was working "to arrange the travel back of the individuals via specially arranged planes".

Officials also released an updated communication, and said they had "delivered a order to the Captain" banning any further travelers from entering the ship.

The spokesperson said that they would attend the vessel in the port city upon its return.

The liner initially left Cairns on the 24th of October, and was only 48 hours into the voyage at the moment of the 80-year-old's demise. Lizard Island was the first stop on the journey.
